History

1957

Rolf Kuhn went into business for himself and absorbed the firsts commercial agencys.

The 60´s        


The first
prefabricated parts for fire-protection-doors were compounded.

1976

 

With the start of production in 1976, Rolf Kuhn GmbH was the first company worldwide,
who manufactured Palusol® (Palusol®
registered trademark of BASF SE) for the door
industry. They quickly expanded the programm of delivery with different intumescent
material and fire boards. The clientele expanded in all fields of passive fire protection.

The 80´s

 

 

In the early 80s the Rolf Kuhn GmbH developed an own fire protection sleeve. This was
the basis for building up an independent program of fire protection components for archi-
tectual engineering. Today, the area of Brandschutz-Systems offers a variety of solutions
for pipe and cable penetration.


1988

 

 

The production site in Erndtebrück was opened. Today, Erndtebrück has expanded to about
7,300 square meters of production and storage space. Erndtebrück is characterised by the
individual manufacturing capabilities in combination with self-developed machines.


2006

 

Rolf Kuhn GmbH has expanded their sales activities in the German-speaking area by opening
a branch in Austria. 

2007   With the acquisition of Gluske GmbH, a further site was created and so the number of employees
increased to about 75. The opportunities for development and the production depth, enabling to
convert simple building materials into building components for passive fire protection, make the
service "Everything from one source" possible.

 

2008

 

 

The headquarter moved into the Bahnhofstraße 12, 82324 Tutzing.
